Pearse marches forward in Liverpool…

After spending most of last year living, training and fighting in Thailand, Alfie Pearse returned to the UK for this big domestic match up at 63kg vs Anthony Deary.

On Saturday night at The Dome, Grand Central in Liverpool these two fantastic, young, UK Muay Thai talents went head to head in-front of an energetic crowd. Both came to fight and put on a great show.

Deary had early success landing several nicely placed shots. But in True Alfie Pearse fashion he made the adjustments and began walking his opponent down looking to clinch and deliver knees and elbows. Deary kept firing back through out but as the fight went into the deeper rounds Pearse wouldn’t go away continuing to stalk his opponent, backing him up and getting hold of the clinch to go to work, eventually taking an unanimous decision and another victory.

Both fighters fought their hearts out and put on a hell of a show for this excited, audible, domestic crowd. A great night for Muay Thai, a great fight by both lads and ultimately a great victory for Alfie Pearse.

on to the next one.
